Meeting Chris Holt has without a doubt changed my life. It all began the very first day I met him and had led a discussion in a nutrition class. He spoke about the importance of nutrition even more than the hard-physical aspect of training. Chris opened my eyes that very day and it was at that moment that I went full Paleo and never looked back. I have had the pleasure of training with Chris for a little over 6 years and I can say without a shadow of a doubt that thanks to his constant determination to make me stronger, make me faster and make me believe in myself, I have and I do!
With his coaching and constant support, I have been able to set goals and meet them each and every time. My body not only changed physically but my MIND was what became stronger and learned that with hard work and perseverance, anything is possible.
I even managed to muster up the courage to compete in a few partner and team competitions thanks to Chris' unwavering belief and support.
What I cherish the most about our friendship that has developed over time, is that no matter what, he is always willing to help. Many times, throughout my fitness journey I got stuck and would seek his input as to why, he would ask all the right questions and somehow tap into what needed to change and each time, it worked!
He is genuinely proud of your accomplishments and not shy about telling you when you are doing it wrong or half-assed. He is a stickler for consistency, which I think is the key to success. And, he is a huge promoter of total fitness, not just the physical component, but the mental mindset and emotional components as well. I am grateful for all that I have learned from him as my personal trainer and will continue to use these techniques in all aspects of my life!
Most of my life I have been playing the "weight yo-yo". I would stick to the diet "du jour" and doing cardio-based exercises only to watch my weight creep back up when the diet was not sustainable, and the treadmill became boring. To add insult to injury, I always lacked strength and coordination.
In 2012, I decided to break that cycle. Chris Holt guided me through a journey. With his wisdom, encouragement and monitoring, I began to gain strength, muscle tone, and lost fat. Chris' workouts were challenging, but fun. I found myself wanting more than the three times per week. As far as nutrition, thanks to Chris, I acquired new habits, begane to eat a cleaner diet, and have felt in control of my nutritional choices.
Chris helped me establish new exercise and eating disciplines which have contributed to physical and mental changes. I can see and feel muscles I never knew existed. Weight has come off, but most importantly, my body has changed. I feel healthier and stronger. Mentally, I feel more balanced. I know there are exercises I still cannot perform well. However, I no longer lack the confidence needed to do them. I have learned to be persistent, patient, and tenacious.
For personal reasons I had to stop training. However, Chris continued to reach out and offer to help me stay on track. He would ask, "how's nutrition?", or what I was doing to ensure I stay somewhat on track with exercising. Because of his concern for my well-being, it is no surprise that when I was able to do so, I immediately returned to train with Chris.

Chris has been the best coach we have encountered. Doing all kinds of fitness for quite a long time, from mountain biking and tennis to powerlifting, while seeing many coaches and instructors in various settings, we have not seen somebody who will be so comprehensive, knowledgeable and understanding as Chris. He has the patience to explain, repeat and rehearse movements multiple times, maintaining an unsurpassed level of motivation. He relentlessly develops and tests new approaches and routines to make lessons effective and enjoyable at the same time.

When I first met Chris, I had recently recovered from multiple surgeries due to a medical condition, I was married with two young children, I was stuck in a job where I was not happy, and I was seriously out of shape. I had never exercised in my life and I wanted to find an encouraging environment to exercise and learn how to take care of my body.
What I found in Chris was exactly what I needed. A trainer with positive energy who could encourage me to be the best I can be, while making sure I don't go overboard and hurt myself. Chris taught me proper form and movements to maximize potential, while minimizing changes of injury.
Within my first year of working with Chris, I was running farther, running faster, lifting more, looking better and feeling better than I could have ever imagined. This trend has continued for the many years of training with him. Chris taught me to never "try", but to "do". When your mind tells you to stop, your body can actually keep going. My trust in Chris allowed me to leave my typical meat and potato diet (with no vegetables), for the paleo diet... and now I eat almost all vegetables. This transformation in my life was overwhelming. The success of my physical improvement had an unexpected side effect. My physical accomplishments extended to a mental confidence that improved all aspects of my life. This confidence led to my quitting my job, starting my own company, believing in myself and succeeding beyond my expectations. Simply put, Chris' impact on my life is a transformation to a more confident, successful, happy and healthier person that exceeded what I ever thought was possible.
